PTO and Sick time are separate. You are not allowed to take a day off until you have been 6 months employed with the company. And the administration of the vacation and sick time are not reliable. The HRIS system does not update accurately. Watch out!.
It was difficult to take time off. Managers would make it difficult to take time off even though the company supported taking PTO as part of their "culture". If you called in sick, management would talk to other team members claiming that they were really sick and were asked to come to the office while sick.
Not enough time off, and when you get time off, you can't take it.
2 weeks vacation, personal days, sick days
Time off was decent for sick days, around 10, vacation was regular 2 weeks.
2 weeks paid (increases come every 5 years), 2 weeks sick (can't float these days)
It's great, but you will probably never use it. You will be working way to much to be able to take time off. And when you do, you feel really guilty.
All based on years of service - not on seniority in the company.
