You will get paid only for the amount of leave that you have accrued but can take up to 18 weeks (12 of FMLA and 6 of disability).

Of course everyone is legally entitled to 12 weeks of FMLA if they've been there a year. The company culture is very supportive of everyone taking that time, including fathers. There is no pressure to take less that I have heard and often people are encouraged to take more. The downside is that you just have your accrued leave to use, there is no special leave for maternity or paternity. This means you have to save up for vacation for years to even get close to having enough to leave to be paid for those 12 weeks, and you often come back with no leave left. Those who give birth can use short term disability to stretch that, but for dads or adoptive parents, this isn't an option.

Very generous with leave. Work/life balance is authentically encouraged.
