Our insurance costs go up every year , essentially we are going BACKWARDS in pay because if they give a raise it is rarely if ever more than 2 percent & doesnt cancel out the increased cost of insurance premiums etc. Our insurance is designed for us to only see wvum providers & is still expensive, high deductibles , co-pays & premiums. They continue to take away paid holidays, reduce PTO & implement stricter &extremely punitive attendance policies. It is an extremely oppressive work environment where employees rarely feel valued , appreciated & fairly compensated.Parking for main location is horrible & requires driving offsite to take a shuttle bus. If the shuttle bus is late & causes you to be late , they will still write you up & give you an occurrence. Beginning January 1 , the 7 minute grace period for clocking in will be eliminated & if you are even one minute late , it is a write up /" half occurrence"
Good vacation accrual and health insurance.
The benefits package has degraded significantly over the past 5+ years, but it is still extremely competitive and comprehensive. PTO plan is significant.

We get lots of time off. Management truly understands the work life balance
As long as you use WVU Medicine Providers than you pay very little but if you use providers outside of the system you will pay more.
time off is earned with each pay check based rather than front loaded making the time more valuable. Flexible scheduling allows more family time. Matching retirements options are availble.
