Medical insurance is too expensive for the family plan

The supplement for the county is one of the highest in the state; the health insurance premiums are fairly reasonable and the state health plan has a good network but it can be tricky to find exactly what you're looking for in a provider in the network.

Consistent offerings, year to year

BEST: The schedule, the 4 different calendars, & the schools are located in various parts of the county. The health plan is pretty good too! WORST: Teachers having to pay for university classes and only getting the amount of money you put in your 401K with no matching funds.

Wake County offers a great benefit package for its employees and one of the highest supplements in the state.

Nice packages with lots of options. All 7 years someone came out and talked to the school and explained the packages. You even had the option to sign up for an individual meeting with that person.
