The 401K plan is I think, a better than the average. The company puts a certain amount in regardless of what the employee contributes and on top of that they will also match employee contributions up to about 4%. The 401K plan is through Vanguard, which does offer online access and the ability to change your investment plan options periodically; the rates and investment options through Vanguard are reasonable with quite a lot of options and flexibility and the employee does get to choose how their money is invested.
Company match up to 4%. The plan is with Vanguard which has a very user-friendly website and liberal rules regarding transferring funds etc. The only downside is the available funds are not making a killing in the market, as compared to some companies that offer guaranteed returns.
Vanguard, you are limited to a fund family, you can establish a brokerage account, but it is limited to 50% of your total assets. A LOT of rules on trading, loans, draws.
