  • Health Insurance(5 comments)

Incredibly low family deductible of $300 and out of pocket max of $2,300 for a family under the Kaiser Permanente health insurance. Premiums seem fairly reasonable.

  • 401K Plan(3 comments)

The 401K plan is I think, a better than the average. The company puts a certain amount in regardless of what the employee contributes and on top of that they will also match employee contributions up to about 4%. The 401K plan is through Vanguard, which does offer online access and the ability to change your investment plan options periodically; the rates and investment options through Vanguard are reasonable with quite a lot of options and flexibility and the employee does get to choose how their money is invested.

Excellent retirement benefits! Employee contributes 5% to get a 4% match. An additional employer match of 5% due to the company no longer offering a pension for a total employer contribution of 9%.

The benefits are great. They match you in the 401k, you get great health insrance, all holidays paid off and good vacation time.

Only get two week vacation for the first five years. The matching 401k company contribution is not very good. Raises are predetermined based upon negotiated amount for 5-year contract and according to good ratings achieved on performance based incentives. Generally across the board for everyone and may not meet cost of living increases.

401k company matching (up to 5%) is a really nice perk. Medical and dental benefits are competitive with other companies. PTO is industry standard - 2 weeks starting off plus one week sick leave. After five years, it jumps to 3 weeks of PTO.

Nothing bad about it; although we have had to pay a bigger percentage of the cost over the last few years.

- Health, visual, and dental insurance is offered and there are multiple options to choose from. - Company pays for a default of $100,000 in Life insurance with additional offered. - Flexible Spending Account is also offered. - Vacation is based on years of experience, <5 its 3 weeks total (2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of sick) per year, for every 5 years of experience the amount of vacation you can earn in a year goes up by 1 week to a max of 6. - Longer-term employees are on the old pension plans, new hires will get a 401K. Since the 401K replaced the pension plan, the company both defaults to putting a certain amount in and they will also match up to about 4% or so of an employee's contributions on top of that. - Get 9 paid Holidays a year. - You do have to pay for short-term coverage, but it is at least offered and can be used in addition or in lieu of FMLA leave/time-off.
