Good health (BCBSM), dental, vision, and life coverage with HSA and FSA options. Typical school benefits like pension, paid holidays, vacation/sick/bereavement time. Optional 403b with no matching. The health insurance deductible can be expensive, but that's the case for all schools due to the 2011 law limiting employer contributions for health care.
Great time off and health coverage. Great work / home life balance. Union participating
It's more a reflection on the Affordable Care Act, but my plan went from a $500 deductible to $2500 for an individual. Nothing is covered until the deductible is met. It's catastrophic care, at best. Premium is $55 per pay for individual. Adding a spouse or dependent is full-cost, without the company contributing anything. At last enrollment, it was close to $500 per extra person.
