Fair plan although company is working on reducing benefits to lower costs

  • 401K Plan(36 comments)

Lower than peers due to business situation

  • Vacation & Paid Time Off(29 comments)

“Take it or loose it” vacation policy but workload does not allow to take it. Less vacation days compared to peers.

Had amazing health insurance and good company match on 401k. Again, this is a dated review.

Former Manager in Houston, Texas

It was average compared to industry, weak severance and 401K (currently suspended), average cost sharing on medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, life, AD&D. Good providers selected,. Good bonus but rarely paid out in full or even paid out; average merit program.

Best benefits you could ask for. Per Diem, vehicle, gas, cheap but outstanding health/dental/vision care, 2 weeks vacation, gym membership reimbursement, etc. The list goes on.

Former Employee

Starting vacation time is about 2 weeks plus 10 days of holidays including the day after thanksgiving, the day after xmas, and the day after new years. Health insurance was about $360 a month for a family which is the lowest I've paid for a full family from any company. 401k matching is the first 4% of your contributions. There were no "sick" days when I was there, you just called in sick and either worked from home or made the time up though the following weeks.

Former Mudlogger in Dickinson, North Dakota

Great coverage, best insurance I've ever had, though any oil job would be the same/better.

Former Employee

Great benefits plans, wellness incentives, cheap co-pays. Only downside was when premiums increased based on whether or not your working spouse was offered benefits with their company

Former Talent Manager in Houston, Texas

The bonus plan is poor as they are lacking an individual component. Incentivize the workforce in a more robust manner by tying their bonus to goals they are individually responsible for achieving.

Current PLM in Houston, Texas

Health insurance is pretty good. 4% 401k match was cut during the downturn but could be reinstated soon. Vacation time use to rollover or be paid if not used. Now if you don't use it you lose it at the end of the year.
