Wegmans has paid time off for employees.
The worst thing for vacation time for me is, working 40+ hours a week all year, and getting only 5 paid days of vacation. It's pretty rough, and wears you down easily
40 hrs per year. Great
The more years you work the more hours you get for vacation days.
Based on length of service with an opportunity to roll over up to 200 hours
Really flexible in hours and vacation time
vacation is accumulated & earned with years of service
Not bad for vacation and paid time off.
Does the Wegman's policy of: "lets you take time off whenever you need it"... ( with notice) apply to part time help? I'm not talking about paid time off, just for things like pre-scheduled family events, vacations, weddings, etc.
wegmans lets you take time off whenever you need it. A one weeks salary "bonus" is given to you after one year of work.
Ok except for that fact that your vacation time is also your sick time and you don't get extra for this. Employees are encouraged to work sick is the the incentive it creates.
