Amazing health insurance, very generous paid time off, tuition waiver for 6 credit hours per semester
Workers Compensation is the extent of the positions benefits.
Health care benefits generous at a reasonable cost.
Health, dental, and vision insurance have multiple tiers and options for participation and are subsidized VERY well by the school/state! Life insurance is available, as are paid health checking accounts, disability insurance, illness pay, etc. There is extra income available (roughly $10-20k) to professors taking on additional work/classes. Supplemental funding via internal grants is very generous and easily available.
State Benefits were great! Vacation time was excellent, and what you didn't use, you got paid out when you leave!
As a graduate assistant, you receive a refund of a large percentage of the state fees included in tuition for Graduate study. This, in addition to the max $4800 per semester stipend (20 hours per week), offsets the cost of education.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
