“Employer contributes $2 for every $1 the employee contributes, which is generous, but this is capped at 4% of employee salary, so the overall amount of the match is not that high, and it is a regressive benefit (lower matching amount for those with lower salaries). ”
Cost going up exceeds compensation
none offered since it's a part time position
I would rate the benefits package higher, except that some benefits depend too much on the discretion of managers. Retirement matching is decent. Health insurance is good, although the costs to the employees keep rising. HMO and PPO options are offered. The PPO plan, in particular, is quite expensive. Employees can use the fitness facilities for free. Paid time off is pretty generous, except that some managers don't want you to take all your allowed vacation. Professional development is not provided to all employees--the budget is limited, and management decides who gets training and who does not. Technology training classes used to be offered by the IT department quite frequently on campus, but they were eliminated or at least drastically reduced. Staff can use Lynda.com, but some people do better with in-person classes. Flexible hours depend on managers' discretion. Some departments that used to allow partial telecommute and flexible hours no longer do.
Everything is great but the maternity package.
Wheaton College offers all of the standard benefits, with coverage starting immediately. They are also reasonably priced.
5 plus weeks of vacation and they double your 401k contribution up to 4 %
The health plan is excellent. Paid completely for the births of two kids. retirement contributions were great as well and very generous. TIAA is their retirement company and they often host times to consult with agents. Overall very happy! not much to complain about.
403B, Tuition benefit for dependent children, self, spouse. Medical, dental, vision and employee discounts.
As an RA, you get free board. Great subsidy toward college funding.
No student health insurance is offered to any students.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
