Benefit Eligibility Associates regularly scheduled at .5 FTE (full-time employee) or greater are eligible for all benefits and must make enrollment elections within 31 days of hire. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage is effective the first of the month following one full calendar month of continuous employment as benefit-eligible status. Short-term disability and long-term disability are effective the first of the month following six full calendar months of continuous employment as benefit-eligible status.
PTO accrues after you get there, so you don't get any time to use right away. You also have to wait 6 months after being hired until you can use whatever you've accrued.
benefit package is not good.
The best benefits of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare is their health insurance, dental insurance, vacation time, and paid time off.
Health insurance worked well for me. Covered what I needed it to and it wasn't overly expensive. PTO was average...could have been better with sick days too.
PTO. Lots of surcharges for insurance benefits.
Requires documentation for marriage and children as many employees were lying and included grandchildren and boyfriends on the health insurance plan. Not very honest. Expensive co-pays and deductibles considering you are an employer of the plan, but perhaps having people that where not eligible for benefits on plan caused this high expense. Health insurance has surcharge for smokers. Must be in wellness program and succeed for health insurance discounts.
Medical dental vision 403k and pension
For working for healthcare organization, benefits are NOT that great...health insurance is expensive, unimpressive retirement with little to no input from the organization themselves.
Good PTO and tuition reimbursement policies
The benefits suck donkey testicles. Pray that you never need a angioplasty or anything else complex because they will own your soul.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
