At William Blair, we are committed to building an inclusive workplace and culture that attracts and retains the best talent. In 2017, with support from our executive leaders along with the Head of Global Talent, Diversity and Inclusion, the Global Inclusion Council (GIC) was created. The GIC is an advisory body that defines the overall mission and vision for inclusion at William Blair. It ensures that the firm is aligned to, and clearly delivers on our talent strategy, business strategy, and our values.
The firm also has an Alliance Board that consists of the leaders of our Business Resource Groups (BRGs). The Alliance Board, along with their respective BRGs (Pride Alliance, Women’s Alliance and Veteran’s Alliance), are focused on the employee experience and are committed to providing opportunities to break down silos and increase communication across departments in support of our ongoing effort as a firm to truly invest in our colleagues, clients and communities.
Diversity is starting, but not really ingrained in the culture.
