Good RSU offer at signing. Average 401k match, “unlimited” PTO

Workday offers a great benefits package that inlcludes 401k matching, ESPP, full health, and unlimited PTO. Very generous compared to most companies!

Best: Top notch healthcare plans, affordable prices. Worst: 401K match is very weak, not competitive at all.

Improved 401k matching in 2018, healthcare prices are great, and employee stock purchase plan is wonderful. Bad is vacation time is hard to schedule off.

Unlimited time off, but it's all dependent on manager, and they try to put a limit of 20 days per year in my department (not at same time). That includes sick time as well. We have good health insurance, dental could be improved, and vision seems pretty good. No legal insurance or commuter benefits. They do have 401k match and recently raised the cap on that one.

There is no daycare or daycare discount for infants/toddlers. I would hope that there would at least be some help for single working mothers. With all of the accolades Workday touts for being the best place to work, it is really the worst option for a working mom. Oracle has a daycare on site( you have to pay for it, but it is on site so you can see your little ones.) I see all sorts of benefits for dogs. Bring dogs to work. Pet insurance. But until recently, Workday only only offered 6 weeks paid maternity leave(it has changed to ~18 weeks now.) I struggle to understand offering pet insurance deals/bring your dog to work and nothing for people who have babies and need to go to the office every day. There is a brand new facility being built in Pleasanton, but no daycare center planned. I understand that Workday is still growing, but here I see a new facility. Perfect time to think about daycare. Should this not be a priority?
