In addition to a 403b (non-profit version of a 401k), World Vision has a employer-paid pension plan - depending on your age, they put anywhere between 3.5% - 9% of your salary into this plan. Vesting happens incrementally every year - if you stay 5 years with the organization, and you're fully vested, and the money is yours to take with you! Not many employers give you this these days. The 403b is matched at 50% up to 5% of one's salary (for 0-9 years of service). The combination of the pension plan and 403b makes it competitive with other DC-area employers.
