Coverage from Aetna is mediocre
Pretty good coverage for health insurance and various plans to choose from
Great coverage...pricey premiums for family
Good insurers, reasonable rates (better than my spouse's plan from a large well-regarded private company).
Have always offered excellent benefits and done their best to provide the best rates.
Health insurance is very expensive compared to other Seattle companies
Health benefits at WV have been steadily getting worse in the last few years - premiums going up, benefits going down. E.g. deductible and out of pocket max keeps increasing every year, prescription drug coverage has gotten dismally worse this year. If you happen to have any type of medical issue, ask VERY GOOD questions about their health plans, and what type of coverage you'll get. Cigna (WV's health insurance administrator) has horrible customer service - I'm currently working with them on three different billing issues where they've made mistakes in billing for simple issues. Follow-up with Cigna takes a lot more time/energy/effort than many other insurance companies i've had to deal with my past employers.
Expensive-- too hard to pursue the wellness program--- blood draw etc.. should not be required. Other companies just do surveys and they are less invasive.
It's fair no worse then many out there.
