The health insurance was great. Stipend for lunches and beer on Fridays.Time off and vacation were a little rocky. Management would visually show their disapproval in you taking time for yourself or your family.
There are no benefits, unless you think about the bennie's re: helping folks to understand what they need to understand, whether that's an SAT, ASVAB, 5 paragraph essay, ESL, "how to" work a computer, etc. Being able to teach so many different things to do many people IS very rewarding.
