Vacation time based on time served is above average. 401k available through union is that not matched by a company contribution in any way. Union pension is insolvent and non-existent for all practical purposes with the exception of a few remaining eligible participants and curent retirees. 5 sick days, hire date,birthday,holidays,a personal day off. Vacation days may be taken as singal days. Sick days require 2hr notice all others time off 72 hrs notice. Great healthcare for employee and family paid by company as a Teamster negotiated benifit (no its not free-if you do not work 3 full days it is invalid that week) No it is not free (it is part of a compensation package employees earn by working) Maternity and other leave available through the FMLA. Union provides a loss of time benifit for off the job injury or ilness exceeding 1 wk. which is approx. $300 a week after costs for maintaining healthcare benifit are deducted. Union dues are about $54 mo.
