My friends really took advantage of this program and from what I know enjoyed it.
Weak campared to other countries.
The bottom line for ladder faculty: if one parent takes time off (whether employed by Yale or not), the other is not entitled to any relief. The administration is reportedly (source: personal communication with administrator) fearful that child-rearing benefits might be used to the professional advantage of faculty members. Welcome to Yale.
worst thing is that if two employees are married, they have to split the leave
Unpaid leave for parents but only if you're working full time. If your'e part time you get no benefits.
I know they cover it but I'm single
One Semester off after birth of child, with pay.
They offer the best maternity leave
I think its 8 weeks, which is nothing
