The benefits met my expectations and the way I did it was to make sure that they were going to be able to help.
Best thing was the pay - for an intern, it was over double minimum wage, and we got Spotlight points + 401K support
Good: Great 401k match Bad: Awful choice of health coverage options , with only high (..and I mean REALLY high !) health coverage deductibles. Stopped offering real, employer-paid coverage long ago. Plenty of propaganda about how good HSA's are, etc. to attempt to hide the obvious cost shifting to employees
Full use, business and pleasure, company car.
good 401k and days off, work from home option, leave at 2 on Fridays during the summer, high price on health insurance as I heard
401k, summer hours, dental, work from home
Zurich has a solid benefits plan.
The life insurance is a Zurich company so it is inexpensive. The major medical is horrible and you are basically uninsured until you hit a very high deductible. The drug formulary is so limited your doctor will be highly agitated when trying to find a covered drug for your illness
Zurich only offers medical benefits with a high deductible amount that has to be met before any benefits are paid. Dental premiums more than doubled a couple of years ago and now costs more than the medical insurance.
Each year the deductibles continue to rise. went from a PPO program to a 80/20 with high deductibles.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
