Zurich makes a base contribution to the 401(k) plan. The contribution will be 3%, 5% or 7% of eligible pay based on years of service with the organization.
Employees vest in the base contribution in 20% increments each year beginning at the end of their 2nd year through the end of their 6th year.
In addition, the plan allows employees to invest up to 50% of eligible base and up to 85% of Short-Term Incentive Plan. Zurich matches employee contributions dollar-for-dollar up to the first 6% of eligible base pay.
In 2019, employees can make contributions up to $19,000, or up to $25,000 (includes $6,000 catch-up contribution maximum), for employees who will be 50 or older.
Employees are 100% vested in their own contributions and the company matching contributions.
