You have to call in and for the most part provided they aren't understaffed they'll let you keep your job.
I haven't had to take a sick day yet, but other people just call in and tell the manager they're sick. There's probably technically a limit to the number of sick days your allowed to take, but I also don't think either of the managers want sick people on the floor.
There were none. If you became sick you would have to call off, hope they found a replacement (if anyone would answer the phone), and just miss out on having a full paycheck.
