Forced to work from home after site was closed down. I have seen only 1 of my co-workers in person in the past 3 years. Commute is great but community isn't.
My role is a remote role so working from home when not on a plane or on site is the norm; however athena is very flexible for office-based roles for work at home hours as well
Very flexible work from home policy.
Depends on your manager how often you can work from home if you're not a remote employee, but most managers are flexible and pretty generous about it.
For jobs that make sense to work from home we do have those options. However, many hiring managers do not want remote employees. I think it should be easier for employees to work from home than it is.
varies based on department, but is offered
Varies from team to team--some teams readily accept when employees WFH. Others, however, will urge you to be in the office.
In R&D it's whatever you work out with your manager.
I worked entirely remotely for many years and athena was very flexible with me. There are many roles where that flexibility is not available, but under the right circumstances your manager will work with you.
This is very dependent on which team you're on and the type of work you do. It spans the spectrum from zero work-from-home to very flexible.
