Significant opportunities to work from home!! Many employees WFH full-time, others WFH part time. I personally WFH days per week, as is standard for Project Coordinators.
Typical CRA from home set up. The process to order supplies is a tad arduous and there is not as much support as one would want. The IT department is a group that is seriously over worked because either their machines or the software utilized has problems consistently. Every single employee I work with has remarked on this issue. So the IT problems slow productivity down for sure. I worked for the company for almost 3 weeks before they sent a printer/scanner. I offered to utilize my own but that was not approved. Internet costs are either given a flat 40.00 a month toward your high speed internet or you are given a mifi card. It has been my experience that a CRA needs both and it is certainly more cost effective to have both (to avoid hotel and airport wifi fees etc.). So to that end you, the employee end up taking the hit for the monthly internet costs - unless you are OK with using mifi air card for your primary internet. For the amount of systems one has to utilize that is just not enough speed when working at home efficiently. They do ensure your line manager follows up to help you with what needs to be done once you start but after that, things kind of fall flat as far as support from the inside team. This job demands you work from home so you have to take the good with the bad. Also as far as company phone - they want you to use your own (and they pay part of the bill) or they provide you with an iphone 4S. Note if anything should happen to the iPhone, it is NOT insured, so you have go through several hoops to get it replaced. In the interim, you have to have your phone forwarded to a separate number etc. The process took almost 2 weeks when my work phone malfunctioned. So heads up there as well.
This is a fabulous benefit, it helps provide work/life balance.
