    High premium and not a lot of option plans

    If you're young and healthy, it's basically catastrophe insurance. There is no way my husband and I will use $3,000 in services in order to reach our annual deductible, so while the premiums are reasonable, it's all out of pocket for us. For those with health issues and larger families, it may be more helpful.

    Not good if you are out of their network area, then you have to pay an outrageous premium. But the employer pays a good portion of the premium.
