I was indifferent to it. A fairly average plan for the industry.
They offer really good benefits, it just takes awhile to kick in and it was confusing on who exactly was our point of contact for questions.
It's a pretty standard set of benefits. You have the ability to select what benefits to apply to and how much it comes out of your paycheck. I did not enroll for any of the benefits. Paid time off comes after 6 months. Employee discount is pretty poor offering somewhere around 20% off at best. It used to be cost plus 5%
25% off an Apple Hero Product! 30% off accessories! $500 coupon on your three year anniversary towards an Apple Product in addition to your 25% Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with employer match.
Benefits used to be great but they cut everything . They are absolute crap now. Deductibles are 3k and higher for medical.
The plans offered are decent. The treatment of employees, when calling into their benefits center, is extremely poor. The company does not effectively inform you about enrollment periods.
As with compensation, they're really bare bones when it comes to benefits. Not much offered and they do not seem to care.
You get 4% matching if you contribute 5%. For the first 3%, they match fully. For the next 2% they match half. Overall, GameStop's benefit options are pretty satisfactory. The healthcare, PTO, paid sick days and personal days are very beneficial. The employee discount is alright as long as you aren't planning on purchasing a new computer, iPad or iPod. It is cost if you pay with cash and cost plus 5% if you pay with card. Accessories are much better as there is actually margin in them. All accessories are cost plus 10%.
Health insurance was great when I started, got worse over time--even though I was paying for the gold package. Dental, vision, etc are not subsidized--when you enroll, it shows how much the company picks up for those and the answer is $0.
The company does offer insurance and has a great AT&T discount but the other discounts are only 10-15%
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
