International Dairy Queen (IDQ) has been supplying brain-freezes for a long, long time. The company is a leading franchisor of frozen treat stores with more than 5,900 quick-service restaurants, most of which operate under the Dairy Queen banner. Located a stone's throw from the Grand Canyon, Northern Arizona University (NAU) has been educating students to see forever for more than a century. About 20,000 people attend the school, which is dominated by a mountainous landscape. NAU offers roughly 100 baccalaureate, about 50 master's, and a handful of doctoral programs; undergraduate majors include exercise science, hotel and restaurant management, and visual communication. In 1999 founder Chip Cannon, DVM, opened the first City Veterinary Center now know as CityVet in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, Texas.
