What does an AV Systems Consultant do?
Systems consultants provide support to assist individual clients or organizations with the planning, setup, configuration, and operation of their technology systems. They also assess and analyze the user’s needs, and recommend solutions that would best achieve their desired objectives. These consultants often serve as an intermediary, working as a liaison between the user and the sales or IT teams to coordinate, customize, and build the technological system arrangement that is tailored for their individual needs. They can also provide input or advice to guide future IT planning decisions.
Systems consultants often have a bachelor’s degree in a computer science field, although an equivalent level of relevant professional experience may be acceptable. They should have extensive knowledge of technological systems and programs used for common business needs. Strong project management skills are required.
