Through the Kindred Foundation, we are able to maximize resources to support worthwhile community activities – giving our locations the ability to participate at a higher level in non-profit organizations they already support in their communities across the United States. While we support many worthwhile causes, we have focused our efforts on developing strong partnerships with two key healthcare-related, non-profit organizations that are closely aligned with our business – the American Lung Association and the American Heart Association. These organizations have missions that are consistent with ours and through our involvement we can help them raise awareness about their important causes and aid these groups in funding research. In addition, we have committed dollar-for-dollar matching funds for the Kindred Hospital locations that participate and fund-raise for events sponsored by these organizations and many others.

Baylor College of Medicine trains 3,000 medical, graduate, nurse anesthesia, and physician students, as well as residents and post-doctoral fellows each semester. The private college has a full-time faculty of about 1,700. BCM, founded in 1900, offers 90 research and patient care centers and is affiliated with eight teaching hospitals (The Methodist Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, The Menninger Clinic, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, M.D. Anderson, DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memorial Hermann, and Ben Taub General).

St. David's HealthCare System is geared towards improving health in central Texas. The medical system owns five general acute-care hospitals with a total of more than 1,200 beds, as well as a 64-bed rehabilitation hospital and other medical facilities in and around the capital of Texas. Its hospitals include St. David's Round Rock Medical Centerand St. David's South Austin Medical Center. The system also operates ambulatory and diagnostic clinics and numerous inpatient and outpatient programs for Texans young and old. St. David's HealthCare System maintains St. David's HealthCare Partnership, a joint venture hospital operator HCA.

Compass Health Center is a recognized leader in crisis-level mental health, bringing passion, connection, and patient-centered care to the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient space (PHP/IOP). Based in Chicagoland, we serve hundreds of patients every day, ranging from ages 5 through adulthood, in our onsite facilities or through our flourishing virtual programming. Compass fills a critical gap between outpatient and inpatient care through an intermediate level of Behavioral Healthcare.

Our dental practice was founded in 1980 by Dr. Don G. Lane. Dr. Lane is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, and a member of the American Dental Association and NC Dental Society. To better serve our patients, Lane & Associates has 35+ dential offices located throughout North Carolina. All of our offices are staffed by highly-trained dentists and dental assistants, each of whom is committed to providing comprehensive care in a warm, friendly environment.

Raising the Bar on Care. Cascadia was formed when partners from the skilled nursing and real estate development industry joined forces with a common purpose in mind – to provide a high level of care to patients and families within the region they call home. Healthcare is broken. DOC’s goal is to turn healthcare on its head and fix one aspect of the system—orthopedic medicine. In a nutshell, the prevailing trend across America is that large healthcare systems/hospitals are rapidly buying up medical groups to form integrated delivery networks. They claim they are providing better care at lower costs. However, the reality is hospital-based care, especially through the emergency room, is anything but affordable. Healthcare costs have actually gone up, not down. And access to specialized care has become more restrictive and less available. Nowhere is this more evident than in orthopedic medicine…and we decided to do something about it! Founded by a team of orthopedic surgeons, Direct Orthopedic Care (DOC) clinics were established as stand-alone, walk-in orthopedic care facilities in Boise, Idaho, in 2014. The response was overwhelming! We discovered just how many people were searching for more affordable, direct access to high-quality orthopedic specialists and it inspired us to expand this model into other cities and states.
