What does a Delivery Coordinator do?
Delivery coordinators perform a range of tasks to help promote the organized operation of a department or business, including overseeing logistics and administrative processes. They help coordinate inventory and support the supply chain processes, manage budgets, and organize deliveries. They prepare, review, and approve documents, and may also provide administrative support. They often are responsible for follow-up inquiries to ensure delivery was completed as promised. This role may also involve data analytics, sales support, or marketing tasks.
Delivery coordinators typically have a bachelor’s degree in a business field, although some employers will accept an equivalent level of professional experience. These coordinators generally have a background in business, sales, or customer support. They must be detail oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while staying on schedule.
- Meet with new residents to coordinate move-in as assigned by director of sales.
- Manage the occupancy process from receipt of deposit to move in, continuously promoting the community to that individual.
- Help facilitate in making transitions smooth as possible.
- Prepare closing packets and coordinate all aspects pertaining to scheduling move-ins and develop move-in guide.
- Facilitate the selections process, based upon current Lifespace standard selections and operating procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Keep all appropriate parties apprised of move-in dates and possible adjustments.
- Communicate with the sales team and new resident to assure destinations are ready for move-in.
- Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure previous issues are addressed and resolved in a timely fashion
- Maintain positive, consistent communication with departments and corporate staff.
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in business, computer science, information systems or IT, or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Quick learner who pays careful attention to detail.
- Strong command of English language and good communication skills.
- Able to display confidence, strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
