What does a Director of Product Development do?

Product development coordinators perform a broad range of administrative and logistical support duties to assist a product development team. They create and maintain product inventories, spec sheets, and other documentation. They track and confirm shipments and deliveries, help organize and maintain production calendars, and coordinate meetings. They may be involved in strategic planning and creative development. This role may involve handling raw materials, samples, sketches, and models. The coordinators provide general administrative support such as data analysis and creating spreadsheets.
