What does an Education do?

Educators are professionals who provide instruction or information related to a specific subject. This educational activity may take place in a variety of settings including a college or other institution, a community center, or an employer location. They may present lectures, review concepts and factual information, or provide hands-on demonstrations to teach practical skills. They develop lesson plans or program outlines and create presentations, handouts, and other materials. What responsibilities are common for Education jobs?
  • Lead, identify and develop physician society 'hands-on' training programs.
  • Monitor students and manage student behavior in an online environment for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning.
  • Directly supervise five content area directors, two grant project directors and assigned Coordinator(s).
  • Assist with event planning, setup and breakdown as needed.
  • Complete and submit accurate reports as required by district, state, and federal jurisdictions.
  • Provide both synchronous and asynchronous instruction to students who participate in gifted education programs.
  • Collaborate with and coach content directors on effective project management.
  • Serve as liaison to assigned campus and external committees, task forces, and volunteers.
  • Evaluate productivity weekly and manage individual and team performance.
  • Meet on a regularly scheduled basis with school-level leadership personnel responsible for Adult Education programs.
  • Create a nurturing and safe learning based on high expectations for all students.
  • Develop capture plans and initiating relationships with key clients.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects/events and establish priorities with moderate supervision
