They also have to work with government agencies to obtain certifications. Some of the jobs titles that an energy consultant could grow into are energy engineer and senior energy modeler.
An energy consultant should have two years of experience working in the energy field as well as a bachelor's degree in engineering or physics. One of the most important skills that an energy consultant will have is their ability to identify areas where energy consumption can be lowered.
