What does a Facility Administrator do?
Facility administrators serve in a high-level leadership role overseeing the comprehensive operations of an organization or business location. They are involved in supervising many aspects in the daily business functions, including staffing, logistics, budgeting, client/patient care, and administrative duties. They are accountable for ensuring the facility and all staff members abide by all applicable laws, municipal codes, and health and safety regulations. They take a lead role in recruitment, hiring, and training staff, and may also have some PR or community relations responsibilities.
Facility administrators typically have a bachelor’s degree in a business discipline or an area that specifically relates to a particular industry. They also have supervisory experience, and a background in project management or administrative roles. They must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple complex situations simultaneously.
- Support curriculum implementation, delivery of instruction, progress monitoring, and assessments.
- Ensure customer compliance requirements are met.
- Ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on field equipment.
- Lead the planning and administration of supply chain capital budgets.
- Coordinate large scope capital projects along with improving maintenance processes across the network.

- Participate in design, planning and organizing for capital improvement projects
- Coordinate with production, operations, customer service and other functions to implement programs.
- Oversee regional efforts in engineering requirements and permits for site plans.
