What does a Financial Center Manager do?
Financial center managers serve as a high-level director overseeing the comprehensive day-to-day functions of a bank or other financial services locations. They create and implement strategies for expanding the customer base, growing existing accounts, and increasing sales. They train and lead a team, and ensure all staff members are meeting bank standards for customer service and also adhering to all applicable federal laws and banking regulations. They drive efforts to meet established goals for revenue and account growth.
Financial center managers typically have a bachelor’s degree in a business or financial field, although substantial professional experience may be acceptable. They must be highly knowledgeable about banking regulations. These roles require excellent leaderships skills, and a focus on providing excellent customer service. These positions frequently require licensing or registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), and a variety of other certifications, clearances, and background checks are routinely involved.

- Implement prescribed risk management, security and compliance procedures, coordinate location compliance audit, engage internal audit and compliance staff, provide recommendations for improved performance.
- Assist management with staff selection, onboarding, scheduling and performance, provide coaching to staff, resolve complex or escalated customer issues, monitor employee engagement and progress against performance goals.
- Participate in off-site networking, customer engagement and sales events.
- Prepare complex models to support sales strategy and prioritization and support sales operations team in the practical use of the model.
- Prepare flexible modeling to support operational decisions around regional market staffing, care center builds, and optimal financial outcomes over 3 to 5 year time periods.
- Understand and identify compliance risks impacting their department(s), ensuring compliance with applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate level of management.
- Gain knowledge, demonstrate and maintain a working knowledge of company's products, services processes, and internal resources to stay informed, guide and lead the team.
- Become skilled at the consultative sales process to proactively identify the financial needs of current or prospective customers and recommend the appropriate solutions to meet those needs.
- Understand how to develop an integrated book of business strategy in which all customers, through all channels, have a Financial Needs Assessment (FNA) and are assigned to the best banker for proactive ongoing support.
- Provide analytical support for site and regional optimization projects.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each regional market strategy, including an understanding of existing client contracts as well as pipelinedeals.
- Work closely with specified teams to ensure financials reflect consistency with current vendor relationships, cost drivers, and client contract terms.
- Create ad-hoc reports to support operational and financial analytics. includes aggregation of data from disparate data sources.
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in business, business administration, computer science or information systems, or equivalent experience.

How much of a pay cut would you entertain to stay WFH, or work at an office 15 minutes away from your house? I moved companies during COVID, was told verbally my position would be remote, now starting to get pressure to go in the office and have a feeling it’s going to be mandatory multiple days a week, it’s a 50 minute commute.
