What does a Healthcare Consultant do?

As a Healthcare Consultant you will provide advice based on your experience and the healthcare literature to small to medium healthcare organizations. You will spend 50% of your time at client sites providing advice and expertise to help them improve performance. You will collect information on the client's operations and develop a needs assessment and assist them with implementation and execution, depending on client request.

The ideal candidate will have excellent presentations skills, superior analytical skills and experience with Medicare and Medicaid. You need to hold a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field and have 10+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting. You need to be proficient with computers and healthcare applications in addition to being well versed in the current healthcare literature. This position requires an ability to travel 50% of the time.
