Before you become a marketing manager, you'll need several years of marketing experience. Before you complete your degree, look for a part-time job or get an internship. That way, you can expand your professional network and ask for a letter of recommendation when you're ready to apply for full-time positions. Look for jobs as a marketing assistant, marketing coordinator, or digital marketing specialist. After you find a full-time position, acquire management experience by asking to lead a project or marketing team. Then, you'll be ready to apply for marketing manager jobs.
Prepare your resume and cover letter.
Your resume should include your education, achievements, experience, and skills.
