Human capital consultants work in human resources planning, professional development, and performance management, helping clients and employers foster their employees’ optimal production and output. They use analysis and performance measurement tools to assess a client's needs and create a profile of employee skills and relevant qualifications.

Human capital consultants organize strategic activities and practices to improve the human resources department’s efficiency and facilitate training and professional development programs. Human capital consultants help clients achieve meaningful organizational change by helping them to motivate employees while implementing change. They provide expert advice and coaching that assist with growth. They also advise and help co-create a lasting strategy for implementing workforce change. Human capital consultants need a bachelor's degree in human resources management. Optional professional certifications are also available through entities including the Human Resources Management Institute.

What responsibilities are common for Human Capital Consultant jobs?
  • Assist case managers with develop housing packets and housing plans.
  • Participate in business development by supporting new opportunities in the areas of learning strategy, digital learning, and learning managed services.
  • The policies, and administrative procedures of Housing Matters housing support programs.
  • Participate in client service delivery teams in the active execution of engagements focusing in compliance with firm and practice unit service delivery standards.
  • Support engagement leadership and demonstrate ability to oversee team members on key project activities.
  • Execute the day-to-day activities of advisory engagements including supporting the development of learning strategies, needs assessments, content development, and training delivery.
  • Maintain extensive, accurate records, data and documentation of services.
  • Focus on revenue growth from new clients and expand relationships with existing clients.
  • Supervise and performance manage staff working on assigned engagements.
  • Identify and communicate findings to senior management and client personnel.
  • Lead project planning, requirements gather, design sessions and full development life cycle.
  • Direct and develop a vibrant RDT&E portfolio that simultaneously elevates the organizations scientific leadership and develop and delivers solutions to customers.
  • Develop and execute team vision, goals and planning against applicable objectives.
  • Maintain awareness and problem solving of programs and efforts (cost, schedule, performance).
  • Manage assigned caseload and establish caseload priorities to meet client needs and agency expectations.
What are the typical qualifications for Human Capital Consultant jobs?
  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, electronics engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Competent with predictive modeling and motivational interviewing.
  • Track record of successful organization transformation.
