What does an Integration Consultant do?

Integration consultants advise organizations on the process of integrating technological systems and programs to ensure they work together seamlessly. They oversee the entire process from planning and configuration to installation, and also provide post-installation support and troubleshooting. They often have particular expertise in specific systems, programs, or industries and would be well-versed in the needs of those particular clients. They play an active role in strategic planning to ensure optimal system integration that meets organization needs.

Integration consultants typically have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, and a strong background in IT roles that would have a focus on integration responsibilities. They would have general integration knowledge, but also likely have specific in-depth expertise in a specialized area. Excellent customer service skills are also required.
