What does a Public Health Analyst do?

Public health advisors offer assistance and advice to improve public health activities and assist various facilities and organizations, including the public, nonprofit, and private agencies. They also work with local or state governments, serve as representatives of one or many federal public health programs, and work with people outside of the sector on leadership and technical advice, assistance, and information on financial support or offering motivation and guidance.

Public health advisors serve as the bridge between non-federal and federal public health communities. They ensure that federal programs involving channeling of funds, technical assistance, and program motivation run smoothly and efficiently. They identify local and state needs and match them to public health resources. They transform federal health care objectives into reality with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life and general well-being of others. Public health advisors need a minimum bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related fields.
