What does a Senior IT Manager do?
Chief information officers are high-level administrators responsible for overseeing an organization’s technology policies, programs, and infrastructure. They are involved in all aspects of IT operations, including establishing policies and procedures related to protecting security and privacy. They lead a team of IT managers, create department budgets, and take ownership of all major department decisions and initiatives. They actively participate in selecting IT providers, negotiating contracts, and guiding the design and implementation of critical systems and programs.
Chief information officers typically have at least a bachelor’s degree in a computer science field, although an advanced degree is an asset. They have a strong background in guiding and leading IT departments and initiatives, and must have extensive knowledge of a broad range of IT issues. Senior-level management experience is preferred.

- Maintain and support integration development including resolving issues, breaks, and defects.
- Analyze IT costs, identify cost synergies that may arise from deals, and identify IT risks and mitigation plans.
- Prepare regular news releases and feature stories for distribution to local media, hometown papers, intercollegiate opponents, boosters and other interested publics.
- Design and implement network security procedures to ensure protection of agency resources and appropriate limitations on access to computer data.
- Contribute to the preparation of senior management presentation materials.
- Build reports and/or data extracts to support Finance/Accounting organization deliverables.
- Actively participate in career development activities and technical training of staff.
- Develop and produce media guide and programs, write program articles and coordinate photo shoots.
- Identify, design and implement creative business and technology solutions to continually improve the firm's methodology and approach.
- Develop and monitor annual computer and telecommunications' budget recommendations.
- Assist in the management of rosters, schedules, and statistics for all.
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in business, computer science, engineering or information technology.
- Fluent in a variety of programming languages, software, and systems.
- Fluent in cloud and system architecture.

- Prior consulting experience.
