Another day, another rejection email. I've been job searching since May and have made it fairly far in some interview processes only to get rejected at the final stages. Even after asking for constructive feedback, I get nothing back. How do you stay motivated to keep pressing on when you face rejection after rejection? Genuinely looking for advice / solidarity.
I don’t have too much advice. But I am in the same position and can offer some solidarity. I’ve also been laid off since May and had many interviews since then which I’m grateful for, but boy I am getting tired. I just keep reminding myself that every “no” is bringing me closer to my “yes”. Sending you good vibes and hopes that you’ll land the right job soon. Hang in there!
Like3I've been searching for about the same length of time. It helps me to remember that being rejected doesn't necessarily mean I'm doing anything wrong, it's just that there are a lot of competent people out there applying for the same jobs as me and each employer can only hire one or two of us. I also found that this advice has helped me get more constructive feedback sometimes (and deal with it better when I don't): https://www.askamanager.org/2020/11/why-cant-i-get-feedback-about-why-i-was-rejected-for-a-job.html

However, your dream job is in the works and is being created with only you in mind. The interviews you have attended have allowed you to practice for The Job That is in the works for you. Keep the faith!
Like2There is no comfort out there. You just have to brush it off and keep pushing. Fact is any of us could see ourselves in your shoes at any time. You can do it....but maybe some days you CAN'T do it...and that's o.k. Just get up the following day and hit it even harder. You have to look and apply 24/7. Wake up at 2 am and look at job boards. Randomly hit up people in those companies on Linkedin. I would google companies in my area and go to the career section of their websites as many small businesses do not advertise positions online with any success. Despite popular opinion small companies pay just as good or even better than larger ones. P.S. alot of times when you get rejected quickly or after a few interviews...there are internal candidates wanting the job and they are interviewing external candidates because of policy but they already know who they want before you even walk in the door.
