Anyone have any experience with headhunters? Been out of work for 10+ months and have had several recommendations to work with one. No idea where to start or if it's worth the trouble, but I am really desperate at this point...
Look on Linkedin for the headhunting companies that you feel will help you on your field. Then send them an invitation, expressing your interest on becoming a potential candidate for their portfolio. After the respond - hopefull they don't ghost you - , try to reach for a cup of coffee to have an exploratory conversation. Ask them how the market is going, how your profile fits on that market, ask how its the compensation market on your industry, and ask for advaices. Just keep in mind. 5% of jobs are posted on sites, 20% are with Headhunting, and 75% are with Network. So , monthly save some money to have a drink , a coffee or tea, a snack, a lunch or a golf day to invest on your network. Rule 3x says, that the friend that you know, knows a friend that might conect you on the right spot.
