Hi, I applied for a job at a small business warehouse and I had a phone call with them about 1.5 weeks ago. It went well and a few days after, I got an email asking me when can I do an in person interview. I replied the following business day and gave them three dates. However, it’s been 4 days and they have not responded back to my email response. I even sent them a follow up and nothing. What does this mean and what should I do?
I am wondering the same thing

Like21Move on. Timing is everything... We are entering the 4th quarter of most business' fiscal year. For those connected to the retail vector, they would normally be ramping up for the holiday season (Black Friday). But given volatility of our current economy and a lack of good historical data (due to Covid), they are hesitant to grow beyond financial means. You may have noticed... most companies are RECRUITING but few are actually HIRING. If it's meant to be, they will call you back. If not, you didn't waste time pining.
Like15Its non uncommon. With HSBC, our recruitment people really scrutinizes your background like your previous employments, tenure and even and the school you graduated. Its not a surprise some show prejudice to those who did not meet the standards.
Like6If the days you provided were further out and have not passed, then, no need to be concerned just yet. Honestly though, it Can or Will Never hurt you to follow up after 24 hours... just to confirm, they received the email, and to make sure you didn't miss any communication from them. From past experience often times the person doing the scheduling can forget to send you the invite! It is always possible they are not professional, and they may have decided against the position all together, or they may have already had someone else in mind and offered interviews outside just for HR sake. So regardless, they asked you for the dates... you kept your end of the bargain... they will understand if you reach out to confirm if they are still interested. 👍🏽
LikeCall them to follow up! it is tough to accept when you are looking for work...but you are not the only priority they have. ask if they git your previous follow up emails and how do they want to proceed? Tackle it head on and be a bit (diplomatically) dogmatic.
Like2Just keep apply'n Just keep apply'n Just keep apply'n Just keep apply'n Just keep apply'n It's all a numbers game. You fundamentally can't convince everybody you belong on their payroll. Play the numbers game and find the people who are gleeful to fork-over dosh for your hard work.
