How long do you all usually wait to reach out to a Company for an update after your 2nd in-person interview?

  1. IT Technician 1

    BEFORE you leave the interview you ask them what’s the turnaround time and halfway down that food chain you send an email for updates. Right after the interview you send them a thank you.

    After sending them a thank you email (I usually ask in the email for the next steps in the process) I wait like a week for them to follow up with me. If after a week I don’t hear back from them I email them to ask if they have any updates.

    Interview was last Friday & I was told I would hear back from them this week. I don't want to seem desperate, but I am already getting nervous about it because I haven't heard anything back yet.

    Didn’t hear back after interview even though hiring manager said I would hear back from recruiter on next steps. I immediately sent a Thank You email even followed up with recruiter a week later for an update…crickets 🦗 After 26 days, received an email today from recruiter that I had not been selected. I had already moved on so at this point was grateful to FINALLY get an update 🙄🙂 Stay encouraged throughout the process!!

    I ask at end of interview for their timeline and that’s it. If they really want to hire me they will. Following up isn’t going to remind them of a vacancy. If I haven’t heard anything from them after they said then I just assume I wasn’t selected
