I have a Zoom interview this afternoon. If the interviewer didn't specify "camera on," should I assume I'll still need to have it on?
Yes, it would give not a good impression, like having not a good interest for the interview or the interviewer
Like3Definitely camera on
Like4Lol to expecting to it being specified
Like2I think it would just be a phone interview if they didn’t want to see you lol.
Like9Omg be camera ready —-
Like1Be prepared as if camera will be on. I always join with it off to see what they do. If they turn it on then I will too. If they don’t, I ask if it’s required. I have had some interviews via teams/zoom where they specifically said they used it for audio only. They said some candidates don’t have video option and to keep everything fair the camera isn’t used. My current role was an interview where neither of us had the camera on.
Like1ALWAYS have your camera on....wtf
Like1100% camera on and you should look as nice as if you appeared for this role in person.
Like2What is the point of a zoom interview if your camera isnt on ?
Like1Camera on. However if I have my camera on I expect them to have there camera on. You’re interviewing them as well and if they don’t even give you the courtesy when you’re just interviewing then what do you think they’ll do once you start working for them!
