I have an interview tomorrow for a position as a Fundraiser Specialist for a company that raises funds for children. Any insight or advice to give? I do not have any experience working in fundraising but have worked in sales and have worked in childcare for several years. Thank you!
I would recommend being aware of you’re time and the tasks they make you do leading to future interviews. I went through interviews with them, did a fairly substantial “assignment” and then was ghosted by the team. I’ve also read numerous other reviews saying that. There are some positive reviews of the TechStars process, but overall be cautious and ensure you have any points of contact you may need.
LikeBe mindful, especially if this is a "commissions only" role. They will bring you in with the prospect of making $1500-2000 a week!" when in reality this is very difficult, if not impossible to achieve - especially if you have no sales background or experience. Sales is a niche in my opinion, some people can do it very good and very naturally and some can never figure it out. I personally can't sell shit and I hate trying to pester someone into buying something they don't want to (this is called "objection handling") and therefore never made it in a sales world. So I avoidddddd.
