I have an interview tomorrow where I get to ask questions to the interviewers. I usually ask questions like “how long have you worked here” “what’s your fav thing about working here” along with the obvious “what would be your expectations of me and how do you measure it” any other good ideas for questions?
1. Can you share with me any opportunities for growth and development specifically for this particular position in the company? 2. How do you communicate here? The tools/methods, the frequency… Do you think communication is effectively done here? 3. What would success in this role look like in 1 year from now? 4. How does the team I would work with look like? What qualities are required to be a valuable member of the team? 5. What skills is the team missing that you’re looking to fill with a new hire? 6. Can you please describe your supervision and mentoring style? How are feedback handled within the team? How is feedback to management (first line or otherwise) received? 7. What project is the team currently working on and how can I make an impact? 8. What are some of the biggest challenges facing the team and how do you see the role I’m applying for contributing to the team’s success.
