Those hired/rejected by MBB, how did you get the news after the first round of interviews? Via phone or email? As of now all the comms with HR were through email, so not sure what to expect. Also it has been >1 weeks since...š« McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company

Only had one round of interviews due to Covid. Found out within a few hours of finishing interviews with a phone call
Like11 week is not a lot of timeā¦if after 2/3 weeks you have no news I suggest you send an email to HR

Like1Bain called after a few days w/ offer BCG took like 2 weeks, but recruiter explained there were some delays and after ~10 days said āthere should be good news soonā. Got a phone call also
Like2McK and BCG interviewers called the same day with positive news. With Bain, recruiter called few days later.. Iād say email them, you wonāt lose anything
Like3After R1 I got an email pretty quickly. Next working day, I think? In fairness, R2 was one week later, so they had to be quick.

Like1Most MBB will call within 48 hours if you are hired or move to the next round. Best practice is same day call from someone who interviewed you. However, in some cases, it can take a bit of time for a decision call so up to a week is possible from my experience. After a week, fair to assume you got dinged. That being said, lots of org changes in consulting space so wouldnāt be surprised if things are slower right now as people change roles/etc.
