Thoughts on feedback you’ve gotten during the interview process? I know feedback is rare to get but of the few times you’ve gotten it, do you agree or disagree with it? Does specific feedback make if feel better or worse than general ‘not selected’? I’m pretty open to feedback . gotten feedback I understand (not senior enough, no enough hands on experience) and others I dislike/disagreed with , decided I was better off without the company since we didn’t align
I've gotten positive and negative responses from providing feedback to candidates. One candidate thanked me, used what I gave him and landed a job and we now have a great relationship for several years to the point where he hired me to coach his son. Another candidate I gave feedback took it very personally and sent a nasty email back.
Like6I was recently rejected by a financial organization citing that despite doing well, they couldn’t hire me because the other person had more experience in the subject matter and I was a close second. I was upset for a few hours but I also had another interview in pipeline so i was thankful about it. But the recruiter who never spoke to me until then, made an effort to call me and gave the news.
